The bed was really comfortable, the shower was very good, and we especially liked having two chairs in the room. Breakfast was good too. This private hotel sits in a lovely wooded spot, with bus and train links to Glasgow, Edinburgh, St Andrews and other places. We were getting around by public transport. The proprietor was very upbeat. We'd stay again and recommend it. Cheers 😁😁

We found the Auld Mill House Hotel easy to reach, and the owner gave us a warm, friendly welcome. The narrow road on the way in had a few potholes, but there was a spacious car park when we arrived. Our room was clean and a decent size, with a small desk and a very good bed. The bathroom was rather small but recently renewed, and the shower's hot water is electrically heated. There was also a small wall-mounted TV. The hotel has a cosy older bar and a decent breakfast room, and breakfast was very good. We appreciated the owner's offer to keep our two e-bikes indoors. It was generally quiet and comfortable. A nice, straightforward place if you're looking for an easy hotel rather than an overpriced five-star wellness boutique.
