I spent three days at Queensferry Guest House, Rosyth (Edinburgh), and found it clean, comfortable and conveniently located. The receptionist and the owner, Mr. Zorain, were especially welcoming, friendly and helpful. They made everything feel easy and relaxed. I had a very pleasant stay and would happily return and recommend the place.

We found this guest house at the last minute when we needed somewhere for the night. Zorain made us feel welcome and was very accommodating. Both the room and bathroom were clean and tidy. We missed breakfast, but were allowed to make toast and avocado ourselves. There’s a fridge, toaster, kettle and microwave, plus coffee, tea and biscuits. I’d gladly stay again.

There was nowhere to hang clothes or put our belongings, and the bathroom was shared with 10 other people. It wasn’t cleaned during the three days we stayed. Breakfast had been booked, but there was none. The place was dirty. Don’t stay there!!!!

A warm, quiet and cosy guest house with friendly hosts. The rooms were comfortable and clean. A really nice place to stay.

Read the whole review! I found two bedbugs in my bed in room 6 around 11pm and got bitten twice. I went to reception after checking the bed, but there was no other room available and the staff, though polite, just stood there and didn’t help. They asked whether I could use the other bed in the twin room, apparently not understanding how horrible bedbugs are. Even after I showed them the bugs and my bites, they still wouldn’t help. They called one other hotel, which had no rooms either. I had to arrange another hotel in the middle of the night, and ended up with two painful bites. I filed a complaint through booking.com, but they wouldn’t offer compensation. Keep your suitcase in the car and check the beds, especially in room 6. When I first arrived, I was greeted politely. My room wasn’t ready, but they sorted that quickly. The cleanliness was questionable, though adequate for a visit to Edinburgh. The bedbugs turned it into a horrible experience.
