The Maltings Hotel

The staff were wonderful and helpful, but the rest of our experience was very disappointing. I’d booked space for around 20 people and spent more than £450, yet we were given only a small area with too few tables and chairs, even though the whole restaurant was open. People were uncomfortable. The food wasn’t up to standard either: I ordered seven pizza flavours, but they brought five pizzas that all seemed to be the same flavour. The salad was mostly lettuce, with a few cucumber slices and whole cherry tomatoes, and the chicken was simply boiled and spiced. I brought this up with the owner, Anita, but she ignored me. Before I paid, she communicated very nicely. Once I’d transferred the money to her account, she became rude and acted like a different person. I felt the owners cared more about money than customer service.
