Breakfast was fabulous, with plenty of beautifully cooked home food, and Chrissie's delicious award-winning marmalade. Max and Chrissie were extremely welcoming and attentive to everything we needed. It was a peaceful place to rest and relax. We also had fun in the games room and pool, and the impressive gin bar is worth a mention, especially their own locally made gin. Not to be missed.
Breakfast and dinner were delicious, and you could see how much care the hosts put into making the stay special. Chrissie and Max were warm, genuine and attentive. The house was comfortable and stylish, with lovely rooms, inviting shared spaces and every amenity we could think of. Out in the Essex countryside, Piglets B&B was peaceful and welcoming, and exceeded our expectations. I'd wholeheartedly recommend it for an enchanting escape.
The whole stay at Piglets Boutique B&B was faultless, and I can't wait to book again. Max and Chrissy were welcoming, friendly and attentive while giving us the privacy we wanted. We loved the gorgeous rooms, luxurious touches and that home from home feeling. The bed was so comfortable, and it was silent all night. By the swimming pond, we enjoyed the glorious views, and swimming in fresh spring water with no chemicals was a real treat. There were thoughtful extras everywhere, from homemade biscuits in the room to Chrissy's afternoon cake and Max's Lemoncello. The honour bar has a huge selection of Gins, other spirits and fine wines, and my husband loved Piglets own cider. We had a divine fish platter for dinner, and breakfast had a big, delicious selection, starting with a Bloody Mary shot. Totally recommend this fabulous place.
Chrissie and Max made us feel so welcome, and Chrissie's homemade afternoon cakes were an unexpected, delicious treat. The room had everything we needed, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We finished our stay with a lovely breakfast from the extensive menu. I'd highly recommend the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Looking forward to returning soon.
The cold dip in the freshwater swimming pool was an experience not to miss. We stayed three nights while in Saffon Walden for a family celebration, and the comfort and quality were exceptional throughout. The rooms were comfortable and cleaned to a high standard, and we loved the deep bath. As someone who loves coffee, I really appreciated the lavazza machine in our room. There was a superb breakfast menu and evening meal selection. Chrissie and Max have created a luxurious, unique business, but the real secret is their genuine hospitality. We wish them all the best.
