The cottage was cosy and comfortable for our annual holiday, with a log fire, a well-equipped kitchen and a lovely power shower. There were lots of guides, clear explanations for the appliances, and games and a musicdock to use. The owner mentioned an old railway line, the flitch way, which you could follow to nearby Hatfield forest. It’s an excellent base for getting around Essex on foot or by transport. I’d recommend walnut cottage if you’re visiting the area.
