The dampness was the biggest problem for us. The carpets were visibly wet and stayed that way overnight, there were dehumidifiers under the bed, and one person in our group has a long-term health condition and couldn’t use the bedroom. The caravan also smelled strongly unpleasant when we arrived. We were there from 3rd-6th April in Monaco 32. We had paid extra for a loch-view caravan, but it faced other caravans and had no view at all. There was no direct loch access either, despite what had been suggested. The route into the site hadn’t been disclosed: several miles of narrow single-track dirt road with big potholes and flooding, which made us worry about damage to the car. The place didn’t feel clean. We had to wash greasy cutlery, utensils and cooking equipment before using them, and the outdoor area hadn’t been kept up. The picnic table was dirty and unusable. The decking and steps were extremely slippery, and a fall caused an injury. There also seemed to be no fire alarm inside, which is a serious concern. Although it was advertised for up to six people, there was only a small two-seat sofa, and the futon couldn’t be used. We couldn’t reach staff during the stay, and no on-site support was available, even at check-out. The property was misrepresented and fell short on basic cleanliness, safety and maintenance. We’re still in an ongoing dispute about the stay.

We had a brilliant weekend. The caravans are beautiful and sit beside a private beach, and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. I’d happily recommend it.
The staff are always friendly and helpful, and we can’t wait to return. We love being out in nature here, with walks and a swim in the sea. Nearby activity centres offer things like canoeing and quad biking, which my kids love. The vans are good quality and the prices are great.
We went between seasons, so the place was lovely and quiet, and the poor phone signal felt like a bonus to us. Wi-Fi is available for an extra cost, though we didn’t take it. We spent just two nights in a fairly new caravan. It was very clean and comfortable, with mountains all around and Holy Loch only a short distance away. There are plenty of local walks, and other visitor attractions aren’t far either.
Lyndhurst corner is an older van than some, but we like having it opposite the kids’ play park. The site is relaxed and they love it. We’re now in Roecliffe 54. The vans are clean and well equipped, and Hazel and her team are lovely and helpful. Ardentinny beach is a short walk through the woods, with a toilet on site. There aren’t any shops or amenities, which helps keep things tranquil. TV and internet can be intermittent because of the hills, though tablets and phones work fine. Dunoon is a short drive away for the cinema, supermarkets, swimming and soft play. We’ve stayed in these caravans several times and will be back often.
