Park Hotel Dunoon

I rang to ask about prices, then called back later to book. The young woman took my name, phone number, email, room type and guest details. She said I’d pay on arrival, so I thought it was booked. A couple of days later, when I still had no confirmation, I called again and found out she hadn’t made the booking. Apparently it wasn’t booked because I hadn’t given card details, but nobody had asked me for them. They were ready to take the booking properly then, but I didn’t get any apology and was made to feel it was my fault. A simple apology would have resolved the situation. I could have travelled all the way there only to find the hotel full. I won’t pay to stay somewhere that treats a guest like that, so I’ll stay elsewhere.

We stayed for a wedding with our two young children, and the room had plenty of space. Their travel cot was already set up for us. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast was lovely. They were accommodating and made us feel that nothing was too much trouble. I’d stay again.

The bar and dining room are cute, and the seats were the most comfortable! We had really good food at both breakfast and dinner. Our room was pristine clean, with a very comfortable bed. Booking direct was easy, and we got a friendly, efficient welcome. It had everything needed for a comfortable stay, without unnecessary frills. If we’re travelling back to Dunoon, we’d definitely stay here again.

The staff were welcoming, helpful and attentive, and the price was great value. Our room at this lovely hotel in an ideal spot in the West Bay in Dunoon was warm, spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the linen was great quality. I’d go back!
