We only found St Ives Guesthouse after a bad experience at another local inn, and booked at the last minute. The hosts went out of their way to help us feel comfortable and were so welcoming. Our room was clean, comfortable, quiet and tastefully presented. There’s a lovely guests’ lounge and breakfast room, both with fabulous bay views, and the breakfast selection was second to none. A truly wonderful guest house.

From arrival to departure, we felt welcome and at home. The host was lovely, and nothing seemed too much trouble. Just to clear up one thing, St Ives Hotel is in Scotland, not Cornwall.

The upstairs sitting room has an amazing view, and the hotel is in one of the best locations in Dunoon. Our beds were very comfortable, and the rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was brilliant: I had the cooked option and my wife chose continental, and both were top quality. There’s plenty of parking, and you step straight out onto the promenade. Highly recommended.

We booked at the last minute for a little break and got a lovely family room with a stunning view. It was hard to leave this beautiful guest house. Breakfast was fresh, delicious and out of this world, with huge portions, all served with a smile. Lesley and the St ives team are wonderful, and the host was so kind. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The hosts made us feel very welcome. Our room was amazing, with sea views and a really comfortable bed. Breakfast was incredible, perfectly cooked and nicely presented.
