The Griffin Inn

Craig makes the best steak. I’m very particular about it being tender enough to melt in your mouth, and his does exactly that. He’s the chef, owner, barman, decorator, cellar man and all-round comedian. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere, too, and the Sunday lunch is amazing for a very reasonable price.

We had a few pints and played some pool, though we didn’t eat, so I can’t comment on the food. The landlord was friendly and kind. When my friend’s toddler started fussing, he brought over a little toy truck, which settled him straight away instead of getting annoyed. It made the place feel really welcoming.

We had a very pleasant family meal at The Griffin yesterday. The publican and chef was attentive and couldn’t have been more helpful. The mixed grill is excellent value, and we finished off the evening with pool and darts. Lovely to see the village pub in good hands.

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch at the newly refurbished Griffin pub and restaurant, with great service. We’ve also had a Sunday lunch takeaway, and that was a real treat too. The new-look bar has a great gin selection for gin lovers. It’s great to have a much-needed restaurant in the village. They’ve only been open a few weeks and are already doing a great job, so they deserve the village’s support. Give it a try, we love it!
