I rarely leave bad reviews, but I feel I have to this time. I supported my client, who has a learning disability, on a visit to this so called "retreat". What we found was completely different from what we thought we'd booked, and I was extremely disappointed for her. I would have taken her somewhere else, but because of her mobility issues that would have been quite tasking and upsetting for her.

My friend and I had planned a night away and were really looking forward to it, since getting together is harder now that we both have children. Then she suddenly became seriously ill with a ruptured brain aneurysm and was taken to hospital. She needed emergency surgery, which thankfully saved her life. I asked the owner to cancel the booking and refund us, but they refused. The morning after our booked stay, on the day we were meant to check out, I was messaged and asked to leave a review. Given what had happened, that felt very insensitive. I don't like speaking badly about businesses, and I saw that guests who did make their trip enjoyed their stay, but still, no refund and a review request under those circumstances was shocking.

Everything about my stay was just great. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I'd absolutely stay again if I'm in the area, and would recommend it 10/10.
