The mixed grill was incredible, though my dining companion couldn’t finish it. I had the sirloin medium rare, cooked so perfectly I could’ve cut it with a spoon, and the peppercorn sauce was delicious. We also shared a starter platter that could easily have been enough for both of us as a meal on its own. Everything on it was amazing, and the cheese bites were my favourite. The food at the Three Horseshoes was amazing today.

The welcome was lovely, and we were shown straight to our table. Drinks came first, then the gentleman’s and ladies’ afternoon teas, both fresh and really tasty. We booked on Friday 9 January for the next day, and I’d happily book again.

Big portions, even for the small Sunday lunch, and the prices are very reasonable. The food tastes properly home cooked. Definitely recommend.

All our different meals were freshly made and nicely presented, and my steak was cooked just how I’d asked. We all enjoyed it, and the staff were friendly too. We went to the three shorse shoes on Saturday at 13:30. It was my first visit in years, and we’ll definitely be back. Five stars all the way.

For £15, the chicken and ribs combo is hard to beat, and the sea bass is the same price. Their Sunday lunches are sensational too. The mains are so filling that I couldn’t manage starters or dessert, even in my not very skinny body.
