Our host was cheerful and helpful, and the breakfast, though basic, was freshly prepared. You do have to order it the evening before. I was less impressed by the food otherwise. My chicken curry looked and tasted like it came from a bottle rather than being freshly made. The room was very small, and the bathroom smaller still. It was clean enough and nicely presented, but in my opinion poor value for the money, especially as this was the most expensive stop on our five-day Wales bike tour. It was my least favourite stay. I also found the amount of CCTV inside unsettling. It seemed to be everywhere, on every level and in every room. Given what I paid and how the place left me feeling, I couldn’t recommend it.

Louise, the landlady, makes you feel welcome from the moment she greets you. There’s a good breakfast choice, tailored to your taste, and lovely outdoor seating areas. The farmhouse is family-run, clean, warm and quiet, with fresh, tidy rooms. The bar is small, but enough to keep even the hardest drinker entertained all night. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Sat nav takes you just past the place, but there are good signs at the end of the drive.

We stayed four nights, from 13-17 July, and the bedrooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the breakfasts excellent. We ate in on a couple of evenings and the food was very good. The gardens and grounds are well kept and pleasant to sit in with a drink. Louise and Lyndon were so friendly and welcoming from the minute we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble, and we felt more like friends than paying guests. When we left, they both came out to wave goodbye, and Lyndon rang the bell to see us off. That had become a running joke during our stay. A big thank you to the other staff too. We’ll definitely be back and hope to see you all soon.

We booked dinner in the restaurant each evening, and the food was excellent, with a superb choice at reasonable prices. Breakfast was included and had a good selection too, with nothing disappointing. Our room was lovely, clean and well furnished. Louise and Lynden were excellent hosts, always happy to help. We stayed for three nights in this lovely guest house in an excellent location, and will definitely return. xxx

Louise is a lovely, friendly host, and we’d be happy to stay again. The breakfasts and evening meals were excellent and nicely presented. The B&B was clean and friendly, and the beds and bedding were fresh and really comfortable. I’d agree with the previous reviewer, though, the duvet was too hot.
