The Elms

The village is peaceful and friendly, with decent shops and pubs an easy walk away. Al is a very friendly host, and I’d recommend the full English breakfast. My room was small but clean, comfortable and completely adequate for what I needed. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was hot and powerful.

We booked two rooms at short notice while working away, and the price was very good. The rooms were a good size, and we took breakfast sandwiches away. The tea the next morning was fantastic, and the sausages were fantastic too. A great stay all round, and I can’t wait to go back 😀

Everything was very clean and tidy, and the owners were really friendly. We had a great two-night stay this weekend, with a perfect room and a nice en suite. Breakfast was fantastic too. I’d definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the area.

I stay in hotels and B&Bs all over the country every weekend, and I’ve never had such a warm welcome. Julia and Alan were very accommodating, and the food was lovely. I hadn’t expected to spend the early hours chatting in the B&B lounge with the owners and other guests, but we all had a really nice evening. It really felt like a home from home, and the homemade cake was lovely too. Highly recommended, thank you, and see you soon.
