Breakers Bed & Breakfast

The breakfast was delicious and had a good selection. The owner kindly let me leave my bags since my train wasn't until the evening. Everything was immaculately clean and tidy, and this is a fairly peaceful end of town. I found the tiny room overpriced for its size. I'd asked for a high floor and a quiet room, but the man above kept waking me at 0300 and early in the morning. I might as well have stayed in London! I won't come back because of the noise, the small room, and the owner's wife, who was incredibly cold and rude. I wish them well, though.

The breakfast was delicious, the room was impeccably clean, and the hosts were lovely and helpful. We had a wonderful three-night stay at Breakers, with lots of attention to detail and good value for money. Many local attractions are within walking distance. We'd highly recommend it and would return without hesitation.

The bus stops made getting into town easy, and it’s a good spot to set off for the walk to Beachy Head. We stayed two nights in a triple room so we could have separate beds and a bath. The beds were really comfortable, with plenty of hot water and big, fluffy towels, and we both slept well. Breakfast was good too, with quality ingredients.

Breakers felt safe and secure, and the place was impeccably clean and well kept. The bed was comfortable and there was plenty to choose from at breakfast. I couldn’t finish mine, so Mark kindly made me a bacon Buttie to take along for the day. I’d read reviews saying it was expensive, but after staying at a pricier, badly maintained hotel elsewhere in Eastbourne the week before, I thought this was excellent value. At that other place I was so uneasy about the condition and people coming and going that I hid my belongings. Free street parking is available a couple of minutes away along the parade and back streets, so parking wasn’t a concern. The hotel is right by the beach, with town a short walk away and a bus route outside. The ‘Dotto train’ passes by, and the pier is 10-15 minutes away on foot. There are Greek, Asian and African restaurants within walking distance. The hosting was superb and I’d definitely stay again.
