The upstairs room was lovely for my mother-in-law's wake. My husband arranged the food and drinks, and we had a hot and cold buffet with wine. Tea and coffee were brought whenever we asked. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us. Thanks for everything. I'd definitely recommend the venue and its wonderful staff.

The cozy feel, great beer and amazing food made us love this place. Everyone on staff was incredibly friendly, too. It feels like a hidden gem just a short way from London, and a great spot for an authentic British pub experience. We'll be back!

Breakfast was fantastic, and every staff member was really friendly. We had a lovely stay and will return. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and check-in was easy. The shower tray could use a clean, though it didn't affect our stay. We tried the new tapas menu and liked all of it, but the ciabatta took a little longer to arrive. There were tea and coffee facilities in the room, but only sweeteners and no sugar. It might be worth checking that before guests arrive. Since the pub didn't open until 9:00am, I couldn't just pick some up there. We were also a little confused about checkout: the website says 11:00am, while the room information says 10:00am.

The food and menu were lovely, service was friendly and excellent, and breakfast was included. Prices are very reasonable. Parking takes a bit of finding and there aren't many spaces, but The Halo car park is free and only a short walk away. Friday's live music is well worth seeing, especially The Aerodynamics.

It's a great old traditional English pub, with an excellent breakfast and amazing value for money for the room. Every staff member was efficient, had a good sense of humour, and was happy to help with anything.
