We couldn’t get comfortable in the ground-floor room, especially with the hosts sitting in the living room just outside our door. It was tiny, with barely enough room for our things, and there was no chair or TV. The toilet and shower were very cramped too. The shower drain was blocked, leaving water across the toilet floor and into the room, where some of our belongings got wet. The woman we spoke to seemed nice and said she hadn’t known about the blocked drain, but the damaged wooden doorframe looked like more than something one shower would cause. For one night, the price felt extremely high for what we got. There was no breakfast or access to a fridge. Parking spaces are very small as well. We had an estate car and had to block other guests in to park. We were only there one night, so they didn’t mind. It felt like an easy way to take people’s money with very little effort. I’d never recommend it.

The neighbourhood was quiet, with a car park beside the house and a bus stop about a five-minute walk away. The ground-floor room for two was very basic, small and not especially comfortable, right next to the owner’s living room. Fine for one night, but I wouldn’t stay longer. There was no breakfast, so we hardly had any contact with anyone. No chair or TV either.

Thanks again, Martin. I left early and put the key through the door, and the travel instructions were helpful. The bedroom could’ve used a chair and a TV, but for one night it was okay. Very clean, with lots of hot water.

There was a mix-up with the dates while I was booking, and although the reservation couldn’t be refunded, the staff were understanding and kind throughout. Great service. I’d definitely book again.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I asked for the heater to be turned on, but the lady rudely said the heaters were only for 6am. We were cold all night.
