Dinner at The Bridge Inn completely amazed us. My wife and I have travelled to over 40 countries and lived in many places around the world, so we know what a real steak and authentic hummus taste like, from Kazakhstan and New Zealand to Florence, Italy, Israel and the UAE. The dry-aged Ribeye was beyond praise, the hummus was wonderful, and the Haggis, which we wanted to try on our first visit to Scotland, was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The service and food were both premium quality, and we paired the meal with excellent wine and whiskey. It was far tastier than we expected. The restaurant is a cosy, interesting place, and you can feel how much heart and soul the owners put into it. Huge thanks for the warm welcome and unforgettable dinner. Highly recommended!

We celebrated a big birthday with friends at the restaurant on a nice day and sat outside. The food was good and the gluten-free range was great. The waiting staff were attentive, though slow, and missing cutlery and condiments meant our food had gone cold by the time we could eat.

We stopped at the Bridge Inn in Ratho on the way back from Edinburgh Airport, and the restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The room was comfortable, welcoming and nicely laid out, a good place to unwind after travelling. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The food was enjoyable, well prepared and full of flavour. It costs a bit more than some other places, but we felt the overall experience made it worth it. We’d happily return.

I’ve visited the restaurant many times and always enjoy the serene riverside setting. The team are so kind and nice, and the restaurant itself is lovely. We arrived at the tail end of breakfast service, but the chef was very accommodating and still served us. I appreciated the extra effort. I ate at the restaurant only, so I can’t comment on the hotel side of the business.
