The Queens Bed & Breakfast

I'm so glad we chose The Queens in South Queensferry instead of a pricier, less charming Edinburgh hotel. It's less than 30 minutes into the city by bus. The rooms are small, which adds to their charm, and seem better suited to couples. The place has a lovely, unusual feel and a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. Sharing breakfast with the other guests worked out well, as they were very nice. Angela's service and breakfast were delightful. The shower was modern and great, even for me at 2m tall. Couldn't be happier with the stay!

We booked two rooms at The Queens while hiking the John Muir Way, during our time in South Queensferry. The rooms had a cool style and were very comfortable, with great beds and a perfect shower after a long day on the trail. Angela, Judith and Baba the cat were so kind and welcoming. Breakfast was cooked just right, and all the little touches made our stay feel special. Between the three of us, we've stayed in places all over the world, and The Queens easily became one of our favourites. I wish we could've stayed longer and can't wait to come back.

Judith and Angela were wonderful hosts and made everything happen for us. The food was spectacular, and the B&B was clean, beautifully appointed, with a great bed and room-darkening curtains. It's in a lovely neighborhood and close to the airport. We've stayed at B&Bs around the world, and this one was top notch, easily the best place we stayed in Scotland. We'll remember it for a long time.

We stayed at The Queens for one night as a birthday treat for my partner. Angela and Judith were so accommodating from the moment we arrived. They showed us the tea station outside the dining room, with a huge selection of teas, milk for a cuppa in our room, and a bowl of fresh fruit. There was water and glasses in our room, along with shortbread and chocolates. Breakfast was amazing, and the table was set beautifully with everything you could want, even a bowl of juicy ripe cherries. The venue is lovely inside and out, decorated with a tasteful mix of modern and vintage touches. Our room was spacious and the bed was soooooooo comfy. The location is perfect, between Port Edgar Marina, with its eateries and shops, and the main town. We'd love to stay again when we're back in South Queensferry, and would 100% recommend it if you're in the area.
