We stayed here for Creswell Crags and had another great day out, and Sherwood is lovely too. The bed was very comfy, the room temperature was good, and the food was superb. Breakfast was hearty and well cooked, though the coffee really wasn’t good and I need my morning starter! The chef was friendly, the bar and waiting staff were great, and the dog was wonderful. Good parking and a great atmosphere. We’ll return.

There were only two people in the pub, yet the staff were very rude and made us feel unwelcome. The atmosphere was terrible, and there was a vile smell throughout.

The reception man was nice and accommodating, but the stay was awful and we were glad to head home. Our first room smelled of sewage, felt unhygienic, and sloped because of the uneven floor. The windows were dirty, the bath had no hot water, and the room looked nothing like the online pictures. We asked to move and the second room was nicer, though the whole experience was still extremely disappointing.

We stopped in for tea and a pint. The bar staff were friendly and helpful, and our dog was welcomed with treats. The meal looked nicely presented and tasted delicious.

The room was clean and tidy, warm, and had a comfortable bed, a large TV and a nice shower. We came for a weekend break at the forest lodge. Staff were friendly and the car park was nice and large. One small issue, the kettle cord didn’t reach the plug and could do with being longer.
