The fire was burning, the atmosphere felt homely, and the landlord was lovely to chat with while I ate. I came here during a solo day exploring the north Yorkshire Moors after seeing the pub recommended for gluten-free food. The menu was clearly marked, and the gammon, egg and chips were amazing. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. I'd come back if I'm in the area. Definitely give this place a try.

We always detour here whenever we're even vaguely nearby, if only for a quick drink. There's a good selection at the bar, and it's always welcoming, with a smile and a fire going. The Sunday lunch is gorgeous, generous, and tasty. They handled our dietary needs easily, including vegan food and various allergies. Tall people, mind your head around Duck!

The roasts arrived promptly and were spot on, with three meats to choose from, all perfectly cooked. Plenty of piping hot vegetables, gravy, and all the trimmings, and we even found room for dessert. Five of us booked Sunday lunch today. The landlord was very friendly, dogs are welcome, and we got the table in the naughty corner. We'd highly recommend The Witching Post Inn for a drink or a full meal. It deserves the five stars.

The steak and Guinness pie was delicious, and the owner was a great guy. He cooks all the food himself and was happy to accommodate my dietary needs. This pub is a great place to eat. I'd gladly return if we're in the area again.

We messaged The Witching Post Inn during our short break to ask about Sunday roast, and they replied and booked us a table. We arrived early but they were still able to seat us. The welcome was really warm, and they took our order and showed us to our table. We didn't wait long for the food. We chose beef, and it came nice and hot, with a generous portion and a lovely proper Yorkie. Highly recommended.
