The Pines is a handy base for visiting the Speyside distillerys, and I loved staying there two years ago. The owners were awesome and very helpful. Breakfast was just what I wanted for my first Scottish experience.

The decor at the Pines hotel in Elgin is quirky and really interesting, a great conversation starter. Everything was clean and tidy, breakfast was tasty, and I had a good blether with the owners. They were very accommodating and stayed up until 10:30pm when I missed my train. I had a lovely stay, highly recommend it, and I'll be back.

The rooms were spotless, and breakfast was a 10/10. The couple who run the place are really nice too. I’m not in the area for work often, but I’ll definitely stay here again when I am.

A short walk gets you to G & M tasting room, Elgin Cathedral, and downtown. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the hosts were incredibly welcoming. One of the top three BnBs I’ve stayed in, with an excellent breakfast. I’d gladly come back.

The Pines Guest House was our favourite of the 12 places we stayed during our two-week holiday. We only had one night there and wished we could’ve stayed longer. The hosts were kind and attentive, and the room was clean, quiet, and really comfortable, especially the amazing bed. We didn’t hear the other guests at all overnight. Breakfast was delicious, and the breakfast room was beautiful, well stocked, and nicely decorated.
