We've eaten at the hotel several times, and at Trellis cafe next door, which they run. A family member has stayed too. They've renovated it to a high standard, and it's a fabulous place with friendly, helpful staff and excellent food. It's great to have such a good venue in this part of Scotland. A handy base for exploring the east coast, countryside and golf courses. We also like stopping at the cafe for lunch, coffee or a snack when we're passing. Whenever we're in the area, we visit.

We didn't stay, so there's no rating for this visit, but the service was fantastic from beginning to end and at a very high standard. The food was great quality and tasted lovely. Portions were reasonably fair, though for the steaks, chips and peppercorn sauce, a little veg would have been welcome, maybe asparagus or mushrooms. Side dishes were available, but with no vegetables included, the portion and £45 price for two courses felt a bit high. Ribeye had a £10 supplement and sirloin £8. The meal and service were still fantastic, and I'd dine here again if I'm in the area. Thank you!

The staff were attentive and caring, and breakfast was absolutely incredible. We had a fantastic family room with a huge bathroom and a wonderful shower. It was our first stay at this lovely hotel, but certainly won't be the last. Fabulous place for the village of Newburgh, and handy for travellers in the North East.

The view is lovely, and the food has been excellent every time we've visited. Service is always warm and friendly, too. It's usually our go to when we're deciding where to eat, and works well for a casual meal or a special occasion.

For a business trip, it's handy for Peterhead and only 20 minutes from Aberdeen Airport. It'd also make a lovely weekend break for golfers, walkers or twitchers. The rooms were very comfortable and everything in the hotel felt brand new. Great food, one of the best breakfasts, and wonderful service. The team gave us a great welcome, and the staff were hugely professional while still feeling very human. One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in for a long time. Thanks to the team there.
