The food was freshly made and absolutely brilliant. We had the lamb shank with veg and the beef stroganoff, and there was great beer to go with it. Such a friendly pub too, with a chatty, welcoming landlord and a lovely atmosphere. We’d recommend a visit, it’s well worth it.

The owner let me settle in before opening so I could work on upgrading my laptop. It took around three hours, and I really appreciated being able to sit comfortably while I did it. The Bird in Bush Inn feels warm and welcoming, with very comfortable seats and a relaxed atmosphere. I had a genuinely lovely experience and would happily recommend the pub. It’s clearly run by kind people.

Only two hours from home, but it feels like another world. We’ve finally found the country pub with rooms we’d been hoping to find on our recent tour of the North, and we’ll definitely be back for a weekend. There’s simple, good food, a well-stocked bar, friendly staff and owner, and good craic with the locals.

There’s a little shop here for fresh milk and veg, as well as a coffee shop and bar that’s open every day. In winter, the log burners make it cosy to sit with a fresh cup of tea and cake.

My husband and I stopped in for tea while working nearby. The food came out hot and fresh, and the staff were so nice. Thanks for making us feel welcome at your lovely little pub!
