Lamb Hotel by Greene King Inns

We had a lovely weekend at The Lamb. It’s in a great location, looks very nice inside and is finished to a high standard. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was nice and spacious, though I do think it needs updating, especially the bathroom. I couldn’t use the shower over the bath because it was so slippery. A walk-in shower cubicle would have earned a five out of five, but it was still a good room to stay in. I’ve actually just rebooked to go back.

The staff were cheerful and really friendly, and the food tasted amazing. We all enjoyed the meal, especially for the price. The chips portion was very small, though, and the toilets could have been cleaner.

We turned up for Sunday lunch on 22nd March without booking and they kindly found us a spare table. The staff were lovely, and it was a very good experience while visiting Ely. I had the beef and turkey duo, which tasted nice, though I would've liked a bit more beef, lol. The broccoli was crunchier than I like, but still nice. 8.5/10, thumbs up.

We stopped in for drinks on two consecutive days while spending a few days in Ely. We'd hoped to book a room, but the place was full. On our second visit, the bartender remembered what we'd ordered the day before, which means a lot to me. The pub is very clean, the staff are lovely, and there's a small beer garden where you can sit in the sun.
