Lazy Otter Meadows

We found this place while on a long drive, searching for somewhere dog friendly. The staff were really welcoming, and even gave our dog a sausage. The food was great, with good vegetarian choices. I had a lovely falafel burger. There’s a garden beside the river and a longer walk along the water, too. I’ll definitely come back when I’m in the area.

The staff were very polite and helpful, and there’s an outdoor beer garden overlooking boats on the river. My rib eye steak with chips, salad and mushroom was cooked perfectly, a fabulous meal at £19.99. I was charged £9.99, half price.

We felt very welcome with our dog and two wheelchairs, and the food was really tasty. It’s a lovely place in a great setting, and we’d go back. We just wished we could have got closer to the water in our wheelchairs. Thank you.

The Lazy Otter is a local pub with plenty of local people, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Food is decent, portions are generous, and the menu is good value. The village area itself is quaint, with neatly kept lawns and houses, and seems to be home to an older generation.
