The service at this pub is on another level, and the food is lovely and generous. My mum has Alzheimers, and the person who served us, sorry, I don’t know her name, was so great with her. It makes the world of difference to us.

We ordered the Sunday roast beef. It looked good when it arrived, but it was very tough and chewy. They clearly knew something was wrong, as they asked how the beef was. They took 10% off the bill, but with a 12.5% service charge added, the final amount wasn’t much lower.

The building looks a little dead from outside, but inside it’s lovely, mixing old and new in a 1600s coaching house. We stopped for food with our dog after a sunny mooch near the water and were given a table straight away, along with dog water and treats without even asking. The food was superb, and the servers were friendly and attentive. The service charge goes to the serving and kitchen staff, which we didn’t mind paying because they were great. Highly recommended.

The Crown Inn is right in the heart of Emsworth, and we really liked its cozy feel. Our room was spotless and comfortable, the food was delicious, and everyone on staff made us feel welcome. We had a great stay and would happily come back.

A pleasant spot for a couple of drinks, with attentive staff and a nice atmosphere. It looks as though it’s been renovated recently, though the men’s toilets still need a full refurb.
