Ashwoods House

We were sorry we couldn’t stay longer. Denise was friendly, helpful, easy to reach with questions, and able to share tourist information. The rooms are beautiful, very new and super clean, with everything you need. Breakfast was a delicious continental spread of pastries, fresh fruit, cereal, toast, and juice. There’s also a little kitchen with a fridge and all the basics for a comfortable stay. The location just outside town suited us well. There was quite a bit of traffic passing, but the house is set back enough that it wasn’t a problem.

Ashwoods House is handy for town, yet feels rural and really peaceful, and it’s amazing value. Our host was attentive and gave us lots of useful information about the area and dining options. The room exceeded our expectations, absolutely stunning, spotless, comfortable, and full of thoughtful details. The bathroom was just as lovely. Breakfast was beautifully presented too. It’s a perfect place to stay, and we’ll definitely come back. Thank you for everything 🛏️😊

The shared kitchen is such a good idea and is very well organized, and I liked the lock system on the room doors. The outdoor seating areas are a lovely extra for warm evenings or dry mornings. My room was cozy and well arranged, with everything looking new and clean. The bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, and I wished I could have stayed a few more nights. Denise was welcoming from the moment I arrived, kind throughout, and answered all my questions knowledgeably. She also had good suggestions for local attractions. The continental breakfast was tasty and well balanced. It felt like home away from home with the feel of a 5* hotel. I can’t recommend it enough. Thank you!

Denise is a lovely, friendly host, and the place is quiet, clean, and easy to find. A continental breakfast is available in the morning on request. It costs extra, but it’s worth every penny. We’ll definitely come back when we’re in the area.
