Des, the proprietor, was extremely friendly and helpful, and the bed was very comfortable. Still, I left disappointed. I was staying with family and didn't pay myself, so I can't comment on the price. It was an acceptable B&B, but nothing special. The floors creaked, and noise carried between rooms. Traffic from the nearby main motorway access road was audible from my room. The bathroom was the biggest issue. The only soap was shower gel in the shower dispenser, so I had to reach in there to wash my hands at the basin. There was blue toothpaste on the outside of the basin, unlike my green toothpaste, so it clearly hadn't been cleaned as thoroughly as I'd expect. I couldn't get past that. Breakfast called 'continental' seemed to be just small cereal boxes and a few packaged pastries.

The people running the place were nice, and the rooms were pleasant. Breakfast was decent, and the location was nice, though it might be a little fiddly to find on your first visit. I spotted two or three cobwebs in the room, but that was minor.
