The dining room works beautifully for a wedding, and I loved seeing a cake tucked into a little nook instead of placed on a dance floor. I’ve also eaten in one of the roomy private dining rooms. The hotel has a quaint, village-like feel and is still only about a 10-minute walk from the town centre. I’ve been back several times, and the owners and staff have always impressed me with how professional and attentive they are. The food is excellent too. The cake photo belongs to Jeannettes Great Cakes.

The scallops with cauliflower were one of the best things I’ve tasted, and the rest of the taster menu was amazing too. We only came for the restaurant, not an overnight stay. The manager suggested a bottle of wine we wouldn’t have thought to choose, and it was a great recommendation. Everyone was kind and helpful. We had a lovely time and will be back soon.

A good spot for Sunday lunch, with an interesting selection of original dishes that came out fairly quickly after we ordered. The tables are nice. The waiting room feels a bit dark, though there’s lots of natural light at the far end of the dining area.

Those walking and jogging trails nearby were great. I was there for two weeks, and the staff were exceptional; my room was nice as well. It is a bit of a hike into downtown Epsom, though the 10-15 minute walk turned out to be kind of nice.

We held our wedding reception here and it was just right. The function room was a good size, with the bar in the same room, and both the service and food were excellent. The rooms have a lovely old-fashioned style that suits the area perfectly.
