Loved the warm welcome and the blazing fire. The local punters were friendly too, and offered me a taste of the ale before I chose. There was a fantastic prosecco offer, always a bonus. Great central location.

The room was comfy, with a beautiful freestanding bath in the ensuite, and the food was outstanding. Katie the chef was amazing, and Stacey was such a lovely, friendly lady, with a great laugh. We had the best time from start to finish and can’t wait to visit everyone again 💓

The food was delicious, especially the roast potatoes, and it was very reasonably priced. We arrived without a booking for Sunday dinner and the restaurant was full, but the friendly staff managed to find us space in the bar. They were superb with the chaos from our four kids under five. Highly recommended, thanks for having us :) I didn’t weep when the bill came, which is usually a good sign.

We stumbled across this pub on 09/11/25 and had a fantastic meal, all cooked fresh, no microwave meals here. The chips were the best I’ve ever had in a pub, just like your mum used to make. The land lady was lovely and the service was exceptional. Definitely a place to eat, you won’t be disappointed.
