Exeter Court Hotel

We paid just £90 for two nights in January, and I loved the blackout curtains. This turned out to be a hidden gem for a weekend away, well placed for Devon, about five miles from Exeter and 16 from Torquay. Our room was small but clean, with a large en suite. The restaurant had a great menu and everything we ate was cooked perfectly. There’s also a well-stocked bar, and the staff were attentive throughout.

A pretty village, Kenn, is less than a mile away on foot, with a pub that looked nice. I stayed one night while travelling and found this place excellent value. The modern room was comfortable, and the price included a cooked breakfast. There’s also a large bar and restaurant, and the evening meal was good quality.

The manager was exceptionally friendly and made sure we were looked after, and breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Our family found the rooms clean, spacious and comfortable. There was a slight smell from the corridor carpets, but it didn’t spoil our stay. I’d happily recommend it for a short family break.

We found parking easy and included, and the room had a comfortable, cosy feel. It wasn’t huge, but my partner and I were happy with the facilities, especially the powerful shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was good and included for a fair price, and the staff were helpful and friendly. It’s a convenient spot for anyone working locally or after a relaxed stay. Most of the hotel was lovely and well cared for, though the outside entrance to our room could use some work. Thanks, hope this helps others choose.
