Fair Oak House Exeter Airport

A quiet, well-kept place with a sensible layout, and I’d recommend it to travellers. Fair oak uses a security box for key collection, so there’s no one on site to meet you. The rooms are great, with a double bed, shower, tea and coffee, a colour smart TV with Netflix, YouTube, and a good range of channels. There’s no place to store food, and no shops nearby, so bring food along if you want to eat in your room. It’s right by Exeter airport, about a five-minute walk, which makes it handy if you’re travelling without a car. There aren’t outdoor activities, as it’s in the middle of a car park. Still, it’s generally quiet at night, and with the window open I didn’t hear cars or planes.

I booked for an early flight and was glad I did, since the flight was so early. Guests can park onsite. The clean room was at a handy spot for Exeter Airport, but it was quite noisy and I didn’t sleep much. There wasn’t any food available, and I never saw a staff member since everything was handled through the app.

Despite being right beside the airport and an A road, it was very peaceful. My room was spotless and spacious, and the bed was so comfortable. Check-in with the key box was easy. I travel a lot, and this is one of the best B&Bs I’ve stayed in. I highly recommend it and will definitely come back.

There’s no food served, though you can order a breakfast box. The rooms are good and have the usual tea and coffee facilities. Parking was no problem, and the main road towards Exeter and Exmouth is nearby. Don’t let the airport location put you off. It’s a quiet airport with mostly light aircraft, and we didn’t hear any noise from our room.
