We stayed in the Cider Barn, which was warm and comfortable, and full of lovely touches. There were gorgeous views, a nice play area for the children and a sheltered outdoor spot to sit out of the wind. It was utterly charming. Everything we needed was there, and we hope to return very soon!

We had an excellent week at Cider Barn. It’s comfortable, well equipped and set in a beautiful spot overlooking the countryside. Sandra is a perfect hostess, and the location makes it easy to explore nearby and further afield, with the M5 only a few minutes away. We’re looking forward to coming back.

We stayed in Poormans cottage, one of the lovely cottages on a working farm near Cullompton. There was plenty of room for our family of four, comfortable beds and a decent shower. The kids’ play area has a slide, swings, trampoline and Wendy House. We enjoyed the beautiful valley views and seeing the farm animals, including pigs, goats, sheep, cows and a friendly dog. It’s conveniently located off the M5 on the way to Exeter. There’s lots to do nearby, including beaches and National Trust properties.

Sandra gave us a lovely welcome and nothing was too much trouble. It’s a cosy, homely cottage with all you need, beautiful views in every direction, plenty to see on the farm and nice walks. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Eight of us stayed here in June 18 for our daughter’s wedding at Hillersdon House in nearby Cullompten, and we all loved it. Sandra welcomed us along with her delightful granddaughter, Rose. The rooms were spacious, well furnished and spotless, and the setting is picture postcard perfect.
