Our stay was relaxing and really felt like a home away from home. The hosts were friendly, told us about the house’s history, introduced us to their farm animals and suggested good places to explore nearby. They also followed social distancing guidelines. The recently renovated barn was spacious and clean, with a well-stocked kitchen and plenty of appliances. It was easy to drive around Somerset and Devon from there, and we spent a few days in Dartmoor National Park. We’d stay again and recommend it to others.

Pauline and Steve are wonderful hosts, and made us feel very welcome at this lovely countryside stay. The breakfast, cooked nicely with their own eggs, has to be tried to be believed. I’d highly recommend staying here.

I booked through AirBnB and the reservation was confirmed. Then the hostess called to say the calendar hadn’t been updated and the room wasn’t available. She told me I had to cancel, but when I tried, AirBnB said the host had to do it. I called AirBnB, paying a long-distance charge from the UK to the USA, and they also said the host had to cancel. Then they said they’d send me guidance on booking in future. WTF?!?

A peaceful, beautiful place to stay. The host was great, and the facilities were brand new, set in renovated old farm buildings. I’d stay here again if I got the chance.

A bit off the beaten track, but the welcome was lovely and the breakfasts were great.
