Macdonald Inchyra Hotel & Spa

The staff were lovely, and we enjoyed the experience. We got a Groupon voucher, which I thought was good value. Our razul was enjoyable, though we hadn't realised it was a treatment you do yourself. As complete newcomers, we could have used a better tour and a quick explanation of the day's plan, including where to find afternoon tea, so we wouldn't need to keep asking. I also didn't know that Elemis, the brand used and sold there, isn't cruelty-free, which matters a lot to me as a consumer.

The staff were amazing throughout our spa break, and special thanks to Megan Sibin Page Moria from the massage team and Amber for helping us during the stay. We had wonderful food at the steakhouse, including excellent dinners, afternoon tea and breakfast. The rooms were spacious and clean, though they could use a refresh. A really lovely break at the Inchyra, and we'll definitely return.

After my massage and facial, we had fresh afternoon tea with delicious cakes, and the staff were friendly. The treatments were fantastic, and I liked all the products they used. I enjoyed the spa day, though the pool was freezing, which didn't feel relaxing for a leisure pool. The steam room was completely dark, and I didn't feel it was safe. I couldn't tell if anyone was inside and had to feel along the side to avoid banging my toes on the seats. It was dark outside the room too.

The restaurant menu wasn't what we'd usually choose, but the meal turned out to be one of the best I've had. The chicken wings were a particular highlight. I'd read some reviews after booking and wondered if I'd picked the right place, but our Christmas break was lovely. The staff were so kind and professional, and the spa was clean and brilliant, with great therapists. For the price and level of service, it's fab. We'll be back.
