We stopped by this lovely little gem for the first time today, and I’m sure we’ll be back. They gave all of us such a warm welcome, and our two dogs got a water bowl and lots of fuss. The humans enjoyed good drinks and possibly the best cheese board I’ve ever seen or eaten. The staff and owners were so friendly and welcoming. I can’t recommend the place enough.

The prices are very reasonable, and the cheese board was lovely, one of the best I’ve had. It came with lots of cheeses and crackers, chutneys, some meats, pickled onions, olives and stuffed mini tomatoes. With the included glass of wine, it made a wonderful feast. It was my first visit to The Prince of Wales, and the atmosphere was really relaxing, with friendly, helpful staff. I’ll definitely go back when I next visit Cornwall in June.

We holiday in Cornwall every year and always make a stop in Falmouth. This time we popped into the Prince of Wales for a drink and learned it had recently changed management. The new team were extremely friendly and welcomed our two German shepherds. We had a fantastic few hours, and the cheeseboard is a must. We’ll definitely stop in again next time we’re down that way.

We paid £135, but there wasn’t a television, and the supposed sea view was only a tiny patch of harbour at the end of the pier that you could just about make out from the window. The room was shabby, but on a quiet night and at half the price it might have been alright. We called ahead and were told to book online, but nobody mentioned the pub’s 80s karaoke night. The bass rattled the room until after midnight. They did leave earplugs in the room, lol. With that racket, it felt like an absolute rip-off.

The rooms were standard and clean, with what you need to wash, eat and sleep. The new owners had taken over about a week and a half before our arrival. They were absolutely lovely and very welcoming, and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. I’d definitely stay here again when I’m in the area.
