The Pheasant Inn

We were staying up the road at the Lakeside Cottage and booked dinner at this lovely inn. It became one of the highlights of our holiday. We arrived just after 5:30pm and settled in for a drink at the bar first. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and nothing seemed too much trouble. There was just the right amount of choice on the menu, and everything sounded tempting. We had cheese soufflé and soup, then Wellington and lamb, followed by crème brûlée and cheesecake. The flavours were incredible, one of the most delicious meals we've had. We never felt rushed, and the pauses between courses were just right. Compliments to the chef or chefs. We finished with another drink at the bar and chose a whisky from their extensive selection. Thanks to everyone for such a wonderful evening. We'd highly recommend booking for a real treat at very reasonable prices.

The warm, inviting atmosphere made it easy to relax and enjoy a birthday meal at The Pheasant Inn. The food was amazing: I had the delicious lamb, and my partner enjoyed the nut roast Alfie recommended. Thank you, Alfie, for the suggestion and for making us feel so welcome. Kayla was warm and welcoming too, and we really enjoyed our chat. Highly recommend stopping by if you're passing or looking for somewhere local to eat.

We had a lovely meal at The Pheasant Inn, and Annabel looked after us so well. Nothing was too much trouble. The pub is beautiful and full of character, and you can see how much time and effort the family has put into it. We stayed in the charming Garden Cottage, where the kitchen had everything we could need and the log burner made it incredibly cosy. We'd definitely return.

We had a great Sunday lunch, especially the delicious roast lamb. The fresh vegetables were lovely and there was plenty of gravy. The staff were warm and friendly, and the service was excellent. Many thanks, we'll definitely be back.
