We had lunch here the day before the wedding and it was excellent. For the wedding, we stayed in one of the lovely, well-equipped rooms. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was great, with thoughtful details like water, a coffee machine and a selection of teas. Breakfast was delicious, with cereal, warm croissants and a full English available. Everyone was warm, friendly and welcoming. Thoroughly recommend.

A little country pub with a lovely atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, and a beautifully decorated beer garden. They sell gluten-free nuts for snacks and have gluten-free choices on the menu.

The room I stayed in was tastefully decorated, cosy and very comfortable. I had a lovely Friday evening at The King and Queen, with delicious food and fantastic service. It’s a delightful traditional country pub, and I’d happily recommend it. Many thanks to everyone there.

We came back for the first time in a few years last night and were glad we did. The atmosphere was lovely and the food delicious. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and especially kind to my little nephew, giving him toys and colouring pads to play with. We’ll definitely be back.

Everyone else working there was lovely and helpful, but the boss was incredibly rude. The bar was busy enough, and after a drink we thought we’d stay for dinner. The boss seemed to find everything an inconvenience and spoiled what had been a nice evening. The food was expensive, with a burger costing £20. Service was slow and dirty glasses were left around. Maybe having more staff would help, but I won’t be coming back to find out.
