The fixtures and style felt just right for me, and everything was clean and clearly good quality. The owner greeted us warmly, then gave us plenty of space to look around at our own pace. A small personal preference, and it doesn't change my five stars: I would've liked the Christmas tree lights, candles and bedding to be a bit quieter. Next time we'd love to book the hotel and leave the children at home. Thanks so much.

It was a hot day, so we were glad to have the fan in our comfortable bedroom. The building is beautiful and full of charm, with thoughtful touches throughout. I especially appreciated finding hooks behind both the bedroom and bathroom doors, something I rarely come across in a hotel room. Breakfast was delicious, and the hosts let us use the breakfast room to eat the takeaway supper we'd brought along. Fergus the cute dog was an added bonus. One of the best B&Bs we've stayed in.

We found the shower had great pressure, and the bathroom was a decent size. The room itself was peaceful, lovely and comfortable, with clever space-saving ideas throughout. Its little kitchenette had what we needed to make a proper meal, plus a tucked-away table and two chairs. There were plenty of cups and glasses, and we really appreciated the milk, tea and coffee. We only stayed one night on a self-catering basis while visiting family nearby, but could easily imagine staying longer. Parking was available, and we felt welcome. The owners were accommodating and friendly, shared some history about the buildings, and communicated well. We'll stay again on our next visit and would recommend it.

Breakfast was lovely, and the hosts did a great job accommodating my gluten-free diet. The room at The Old Parsonage was beautiful, with thoughtful details in both the room and bathroom. We slept very comfortably during our weekend stay. Thanks so much, Emilie and James.

I stayed in The Pantry for just one night and wished I had longer to enjoy it. It felt like a home away from home, with a beautifully decorated, spotless room, a fully equipped kitchen and quality utensils. The bathroom was superb, with a powerful shower, and the whole space was very comfortable. James welcomed me warmly on arrival. He's a really nice guy, and it's clear he takes pride in the place and that a lot has gone into bringing it to such a high standard. This genuinely has to be one of the best BnBs I've stayed at in the UK, and a platinum standard for how one should run. I'll absolutely be back with my wife, and maybe the kids too. Some of the larger rooms look ideal for a longer family getaway exploring the area. Thanks for a fantastic stay! 👍
