We were unlucky this time and won't be back, though I can imagine it usually makes a lovely base. We stayed out of season, and the property looked a bit run down compared with the photos. The setting was quiet and peaceful, near the town and National Park, and it was very dog friendly. The room was OK, but the double bed was too small for my 6ft 6 partner and me, so I slept on the sofa. The TV was tiny, but that didn't matter much with those views. A boiler problem left us without heating or hot water during the stay. The owner brought a heater on the afternoon of the second day and disputed that we'd had no heat or hot water on the first night. We should have raised it sooner. We cut the stay short and received a partial refund.

gaina met us when we arrived and was so welcoming and accommodating. Nothing felt like too much trouble. The property was stunning, with a design and amount of space I really loved. The bedrooms were cosy and made me feel very comfortable. I'd definitely stay again.

We had a great two-night stay with friends. The house felt cosy and had lovely features, and I slept really well. I also enjoyed having tea and coffee in the room. There are some lovely walks very close by, which made the location a real pleasure.

The owners were so friendly and helpful, answering our questions and sharing recommendations for the area. The location was fabulous, close to a lovely little town, a great pub just a two-minute walk away, and brilliant walks all around. We stayed with family in the family suite and three other rooms, and every room was fantastic, with its own bathroom, fridge, tea and coffee facilities, and very comfortable beds. We also liked relaxing in the garden and courtyard. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.
