Causeway Cottage

The owners were great to deal with, and nothing seemed too much trouble. We had lovely personal service and communication, and will definitely come back. The property is gorgeous and well maintained, with everything you need. You can walk along the beach to Filey, and there are great places to eat and visit nearby.

We’ve stayed in both cottages and keep returning. The walks are fantastic and the beach is close by, so we love this place. Sally and Gwynn are incredibly helpful, and the welcome pack is a lovely extra. There’s nothing I can fault about the cottages.

With two young kids, we found the cottage had everything we needed and felt warm and cosy in the cold weather. The decor was to a high standard, and the full size fridge freezer and enough washing up liquid, soap and loo roll for the whole stay were better than centreparcs. It’s a 5 min walk down to the beach, along a steep but fully tarmacked path that was fine with a pram. The playground is 2 mins away, and the on site pub, restaurant, shop and leisure facilities are 1 min away. Filey town and Bridlington are both a short drive for more places to eat and beach options. Gym and Sarah were very helpful with our questions before arrival and sorted out a few minor things on arrival day. We stayed 3 nights at causeway cottage and would highly recommend it as a base for exploring the coast with kids. We’ll definitely be back.

The cottage had all we needed, and the owners left a nice welcome pack. The beach is an easy walk down, and the pub is also a short walk away, though it’s not cheap. Parking close by can be difficult. On our last day, we came back early from an outing and found a space at the side, so loading up the next morning was fine.
