I couldn’t have asked for more. It’s right in town, less than five minutes from several pubs and restaurants. The owner was friendly and very helpful, and the spacious building was clean, nicely decorated and felt homey. The rain shower looked new. Highly recommended.

Quentin was a five-star host, very flexible and full of helpful advice on sights, buses and things to see and do. I had a long stay at this cozy hostel in January, so I couldn’t enjoy the back garden as much as I would in summer, though it was still charming to look at in winter. Hamilton Lodge feels more like a home than a hostel, with lots of interesting memorabilia. It’s conveniently in town, about three minutes from the bus stop in the square. There was construction in the square, but it was still handy for all the town essentials. Hot showers, good coffee and fresh bread. Highly recommended!

Our two Springer spaniels were treated like part of the family, and we all felt completely at home. The house was warm, clean, comfortable and so welcoming, with nothing too much trouble. Q is an absolute delight, and we felt as if we’d known him for years. This was our first stay at Hamilton Lodge, but it definitely won’t be the last. Keep doing what you do, Q, and we’ll keep in touch. Jules, Tim and Jack and Tarka would highly recommend this little piece of fabulous hospitality.

Q made sure I was comfortable throughout my long weekend and was always welcoming and friendly. Jet’s a pleasure too, one of the loveliest, best-behaved dogs. I’d always recommend staying here. You can’t go wrong!

Quentin is a wonderful man, very friendly, and the room was clean, comfortable and cozy. An excellent overnight stay on our trip to Ireland.
