The Red Lion Tavern

The breakfast was included in the price, with a fabulous menu choice, and it was delicious. The staff were lovely too. At first I was unsure when we were shown to rooms outside the pub and up some steps, as it felt more like a motel than a hotel. Inside, though, our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Being away from the main building also meant no bar noise. The shower was hot and powerful. We had a lovely couple of nights and would definitely stay again.

After the first leg of the Speyside Way, this was a great spot to rest for the afternoon and night. The atmosphere and staff were friendly. The room wasn’t fancy to look at, but it had what mattered: it was clean, the shower was good and the bed was very comfortable, even if a little squeaky. Breakfast was excellent.

Don’t be put off by the outside. This little place was a gem and excellent value. Our twin room was lovely, with a clean, comfortable bed and an amazing, powerful electric shower. The friendly barman checked us in. The exceptional price included a full cooked breakfast and some continental buffet.

An absolutely amazing pub and hotel. I spent a night there and the room was really comfortable and nice. Breakfast is included in the price, with lots of options, and it’s delicious. There’s no air con, so I’d recommend keeping the door open in summer. The staff are amazing too. I’d recommend staying here.
