Leo and Beth, the new owners, gave us a lovely welcome at this family-run hotel. The decor feels comfortable and inviting, and there’s a fantastic range of gin. They also have an evening menu with burgers that look tasty. Seems like there’ll be plenty of fun evenings here. We’ll be back to try the food, and it’s well worth a visit.

The beds and bedding were clean and comfortable, but calling this a “boutique hotel” doesn’t fit. It’s basic accommodation, which is fine if that’s what you’re looking for. Loud music from a nearby pub kept us awake until 1am.

It’s clean, tidy and basic, which suited us as a stop gap. A fire alarm went off at 1am, but only briefly. It didn’t bother us, and at least we know the system works. I’d recommend it.

The revamped hamlet made for a fantastic evening. The new bar area is a great addition, and the burgers were fabulous. The new owners are fantastic too. Beth and leo deserve to succeed, and I wish them all the best.

The location is a plus, with the beach close by and good pubs in the area. Still, I was disappointed by the place and its amenities. The bed wasn’t comfortable, and the en-suite was just okay.
