I’d never stayed in a B&B before, but I’d happily come back here. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and so clean, and breakfast was generous and stunning. Christine was there when we needed her, but we never felt watched. It’s a great spot for the Forest of Dean. There’s a chip shop and a few pubs serving food just minutes away, plus a quaint village to wander around after fish and chips by the river. Highly recommend!

We booked one night at Ferndale to attend a wedding in Coleford, a £10 taxi ride each way. The hosts were polite and professional, and we were delighted with the stay. Our room was nicely decorated and looked out onto a well-kept courtyard. They’d thoughtfully provided soaps, drinks, biscuits and cakes. Breakfast was delicious, we had a full English, and we’ll definitely return.

This was my second visit, this time with the kids, and it’s certainly friendly for both dogs and children. There’s plenty of parking, and the quiet garden is lovely. The owners are passionate about service, make you feel special and never seem to find anything too much trouble. The rooms are immaculate, airy and clean, the beds very comfortable, and breakfast is amazing. It feels like five-star service and is excellent value for money. Best B&B I’ve ever stayed in.

We stayed in their “lodge” while visiting relatives, a cosy, warm and well-equipped “cottage” a few yards from the main building where they serve excellent breakfasts. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Each of the two cottages has parking for one car, and there’s parking for guests in the main B&B too. Dogs are welcome in the cottages but aren’t allowed in the main building. We couldn’t have asked for better and would happily return. Many thanks to Christine and Andy.

We’ve just had a lovely, relaxing few days in the Lodge room at Ferndale House B and B. The room was very comfortable and the breakfasts excellent. We were in the area to see family and enjoyed some local attractions as well. We’d definitely stay again.
