Warm and comfortable, and handy for amenities, with lovely walks starting right outside. My husband and I had a great weekend here with our two dogs. The courtyard garden was completely secure, even for our dog who’s always looking for a way out.

We came to Cottage 2 at The Old Dairy Holiday Cottages for a quiet weekend during a busy time, and it was just right. Lorraine gave us a lovely welcome, with towels and treats for our dog, fresh milk in the fridge, and the fire already on. Before we arrived, the communication was friendly and excellent too. The cottage was finished to a high standard and matched the website description exactly. It’s in a peaceful spot, with walks right from the door and the Forest of Dean attractions close by. We’d be very happy to visit again and highly recommend the cottages.

There are two very cute cottages just outside town. Ours was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Lorraine also emailed us some ideas for places to eat and day trips. A peaceful getaway, and one I’d thoroughly recommend.

We had such an amazing stay at Number 1, The Old Dairy, me, my fiancé and our pooch. The peaceful, beautiful setting had us smiling as soon as we arrived, and parking at the cottage was great. Inside was spotless, warm and cosy, with everything we needed. I’d honestly wondered before whether I’d want to stay somewhere dog friendly, but this place was so clean you’d never know a dog had been inside. I’d have booked ages ago if I’d known, and I’ve even recommended it to my parents, who don’t have pets. We had some amazing walks, either straight from the cottage or after driving to The Wilderness or Symonds yat. We also had a lovely lunch at The Farmers Boy inn and ordered a Just Eat delivery from them. Thanks, Lorraine. We’re looking forward to coming back soon!
