Carisbrooke Hotel

The food was piping hot and absolutely delicious. I was away a lot on my three-night business trip, but had one dinner and one breakfast, and both were great. The accommodation is basic, though very comfortable, and the bathroom facilities seemed recently refurbished and were top notch. Excellent shower too. A place to hang clothes would be useful. I stayed here nearly thirty years ago, when the current owner's grandparents ran it, and the standards haven't slipped. I'd definitely recommend it.

We slept really well in these comfortable, clean rooms in a quiet spot. The staff were lovely and went above and beyond by letting us preorder Saturday night's meal to suit our needs. The food was really tasty, with fabulous gluten free choices and kids' meals available. Highly recommend.

I came for a family wedding reception, and the staff were fantastic, friendly, and helpful. The decor was lovely and the catering was delicious, out of this world. The family beer garden has things to keep the kids amused too. Definitely worth a trip for a drink, a meal, or a game of pool.

Room 2 was ready, and within minutes of arriving we'd booked a table for curry night. We turned up unexpectedly after a long day travelling on 26th sept. A very friendly chap, who we assumed was the landlord, greeted us at the bar. The room was warm, spotless, and had everything we needed. The chicken bhuna was lovely, and all the staff were friendly, including the landlady overseeing service that evening. Comfortable bed and a nice, powerful shower to wake us up.
