The Sanctuary Cornwall

The meadows around the house were beautiful, and the pond and deck were just right for catching the last evening sun. Even Woody, their pet collie, was a lovely boy. My sister and I shared a twin room and were impressed by the quality furnishings and thoughtful details. It was very clean and everything was provided. Our room had its own balcony and a stunning river view. Karen made a delicious breakfast, and she and Dave were brilliant, friendly hosts who knew a lot about local walks. It was a pleasure meeting them. We stayed at The Sanctuary for a few relaxing days, and would love to return. The place is stunning and tranquil. In the evenings we walked to The Fishermans Arms, where the food was excellent, the staff friendly and the atmosphere great. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it.

Breakfast was delicious and wholesome, with plenty of local produce, and there was always an easy flow of conversation around the sociable kitchen. We spent two blissful nights at the Sanctuary in Maple, a beautiful, comfortable room with a stunning estuary view from the balcony. The sounds of nature all around, birds singing, bees buzzing and cows lowing, made it wonderfully peaceful. We hope to come back one day. A friend and I had such a lovely stay at The Sanctuary. The accommodation was lovely, set in stunning surroundings with special places to discover right on the doorstep. The hosts were wonderful, so kind and generous, and made the trip extra memorable. Can't recommend the place enough.

The grounds have plenty to explore, with walking trails and hammocks to lie in, and I enjoyed kayaking just five minutes away. From my room, the view of the lake was stunning. Breakfast was incredible, full of good quality local produce, and something I looked forward to each day. Karen and Dave are incredibly kind and accommodating, and lovely to chat with. They've built a very special place. I hope it stays here forever. I had a wonderful stay at the Sanctuary and couldn't recommend it more.
