The Greenman

The wedding day was truly wonderful, and the team made it an occasion we'll always remember. As father of the groom, I'm sincerely grateful to everyone at the Green Man. The price was also very reasonable, and we couldn't have asked for a better day. Our son and his lovely wife got married at the venue, after we'd usually visited the Green Man just for a drink or a meal. The preparations were well organised, and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. They worked tirelessly throughout the day, making sure we had a first class experience. The changeovers from ceremony to dining and then to dancing went seamlessly. Fownhope is a gorgeous location. The car parking, rooms, and food were all superb, and the bedrooms were spacious with lots of attention to detail. Many venues would have struggled to deliver a day like this.

Room no 10 was warm, comfortable and really nice, and the owner and staff made us feel welcome. It was a relaxing stay, with breakfast and dinner cooked to order. The food was Mmmm, and their beers were great. I especially liked the Butty Bach. All in all, a nice experience. Many thanks.

We came for a family wedding and had a superb time. Mandy and Ella stood out in particular. They were so warm and helpful that by the end of the weekend we felt like friends, not just guests dealing with corporate staff. They also told us about the building's history and the local area. Amanda made our morning especially nice. She was friendly and welcoming, and her personal touch really added to the experience. The room was beautifully presented, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We enjoyed every moment of a wonderful, relaxing stay and would happily return.
