Stay at Penny's Mill

We spent a whole afternoon in the beautiful garden by the river, which was a lovely way to unwind during our anniversary stay. Rosie and Bill were wonderful hosts, friendly and helpful with suggestions while still giving us room to relax. We stayed in Penny's room, which was really nice, with a big ensuite, thick towels and lovely toiletries. Rosie made stunning full English breakfasts each morning. The attention to detail throughout was much appreciated. We don’t usually return to the same place, but this one will be hard to resist. Thanks for a great stay, Rosie and Bill!

Nunney made for such a nice weekend, with its lovely village and great pub. We had a beautiful room and slept soundly in the comfy bed. Rosie and Bill were incredibly accommodating: we needed to leave early on our first morning, and although they didn’t have to, they got up and made us a delicious full breakfast, with fresh fruit, homemade bread and all the extras. Staying in the heart of Nunney worked perfectly for sightseeing, and the peaceful spot really refreshed us. The historic Mill’s picturesque gardens run along a stream, with a wooded dell beyond. We were in the “green room”, looking out over the garden. Breakfast in the conservatory included a cooked English option, cereal, fruit, and homemade bread and jam. Good value and an ideal location.

Rosie and Bill are warm, friendly hosts who know the area well, and the location is fabulous. We loved the views, the big conservatory where breakfast is served, and the homemade bread Rosie baked. Our room was lovely, especially the excellent cosy bed. Beautiful place and a wonderful breakfast. Highly recommend it, and we’ll definitely come back!
